Entry Requirements

The courses at KSVN are only available for students in paid employment in a veterinary practice. If you are studying the Level 3 Diploma, your practice must have been approved as a recognised Training Practice in accordance with the requirements of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. (See Training Practice page)

Prospective students must also:

• Level 3 students: Must have obtained 5 GCSE’s grades A-C / 4-9 to include English Language, Maths and a Science or equivalent qualifications (Level 3 Animal Management + English & Maths GCSE C or 4-9 / Functional Skills Level 2). Original certificates will be required to confirm this, statements of results are NOT acceptable.

• All students must be in full time (average 35 hours per week or more) or part time (this will affect Apprenticeship completion) employment in a veterinary practice.

• Be successful at interview with the training centre team.

• Have good access to the internet and the use of a laptop or tablet, both at home for private study and at work, for completing the E-portfolio.
